Crap band names

I was listing records on ebay last night and it got me thinking how some band names are just a bit shit.

New Atlantic for instance, where's that come from? It's not terrible or anything it's just not that good.

My mate used to be in a band that got a couple of records released under the name "Freaky Baby", which I always thought was particularly bad.

I never really liked the name The Darkness it's sounds more like a chessy American movie lol but this is not old school

you've got to be kidding me jonno.......... if the lads in freaky baby were from the wirral, i knew them... havent seen them for years like but one in paticular was a decent mate of mine at the time used to see them in cream qiute a lot and went to a few partys with them......even djed with one of them a couple of times after cream in some pretty mad partys...... i think they were releasing records around 94 ish, the lad i knew was called simon...top lad like

Lol, Simon Jennings I used to live with him in Greasby a while ago in 96-ish. Small world eh. He lives down London now. Another lad I know, is still in contact with him.

so who else do you know from around there........ i was over that side quite a bit in the mid 90's, used to and still do know a lad called mike green or mickle as he is better known.... thats how i got to know simon, yep it is a small world mate... very small:thumbsup:

I know Mickel quite well. I DJ'ed at his 30th at the Firehouse (I think that's what it's called - it's the place next to the firestation in Hoylake). I lived with his brother Andrew (Boo) in Greasby (diff house to Si jennings), along with James Lace (you'll probably know him!). You might have been to a party at our house - we had a couple of good un's.

I don't really speak with many people these days since getting married though. I'm good mates with Brade (who used to live with Mickel) but I haven't spoken to him in a bit (Amelie keeps giving me grief about that :$ ). I still speak with James Hayes (Hayesy) and there's a few of Boo's mates I still speak with as well but that's about it.

jonno, i must know you mate, i know all them , went to ibiza with them all in 92, still see mickle at the match and bumped into bradey at the british open at hoylake recently, been around europe watching the reds with mickle and was in istanbul with him.... ask any of them do they know warren from huyton :thumbsup: ... aint seen hasey for years like but i got some real funny stories about that lot :D

i remember at one party i had to have my pic took with the infamous sombrero , i dont know if that was at yours mate lol
