Was speaking to my mate (Legends regular) the other day and we were discussing that it was a shame there was no old-skool house nights in London once in a while I came to London in 1992 and was always disappointed that there was no London equivalent nights like Bowlers, Angels, The Zone, Maximes etc. It seemed as though 'rave-style' house clubs died in London in 1990 and split into the serious posher/glam house clubs (Gardening Club, Milk Bar, Loveshack etc) and the moodier jungle & hardcore scene. Does anyone know if there are any old skool (1988-91) northern-style house nights in London, that are unconnected with old skool jungle, hardcore or drum&bass events? I never see any dedicated old skool house nights advertised - the only ones seem to be part of the old skool (i.e. dark jungle, hardcore or drum&bass) London scene (which I never liked at all) I reckon there is defintiely a gap in the market in London. Used to DJ Northern Style old skool house at uni in London back in 94-96', and everyone said they were the best tunes easily.
