JOY, SATURDAY 4TH FEBRUARY @ MISSION, LEEDS


Back at last in our monthly home, Mission, Leeds with an improved concept for 2006…
After last years success at Mission Joy has been moved from Fridays and is now held on the first Saturday of each month.
Unlike previously before we will also be progressing the night forward with the introduction of 2 new music genres.
As ever arch 1 will be Revival of House/Joy classics with the usual guests and residents popping in each month playing the biggest and best tunes from the last 15 or so years.
Arch 2 will now concentrate on dark and dirty pumping electro house, minimal techno and nu skool breaks with some very special guests planned throughout the year while in room 3 we have the best in electronic funky house with some of Leeds biggest and most sought after DJ’s spinning the tunes…

Luvdup returns yet again for some more oldskool madness whilst in the middle room we have Hacienda legend Jon Da Silva playing an extended electro set accompanied by Sully (whos not on flyer yet due to printer not liking him but will be he he) with his Nu skool breaks and a special techno set by myself Kells&Tots.
Room 3 welcomes two of Leeds biggest names from the underground house scene, Dean Carey and Graham Dixon playing a full on set of pumping electronic funky house.

Whilst in the VIP room which is not advertised on the flyer and is yet to be confirmed we may have an exclusive set by Manchester Legend Jay Wearden playing some cool grooves….

Live percussion is as usual supplied by Aron and the live VJ set is once again by VJ SteveG using the Pioneer DVJ X1 and Arkos to manipulate visuals.

Doors open 10pm till 4am
Door prices are £8/10/12, discounts for NUS and OSA members

i've apologised to the printer so it should be sorted now mate lol...........

lookin forward to this one and the line up looks wicked, defo somet for everyone.

expect plenty of all new electro breaks and tech house in room 2, i'm also gonna be playin live with 2x CDJ's and Ableton so should be interestin......

also check out www.unityradio.co.uk every Sunday 8pm til 10pm from Sunday the 15th Jan for my new weekly selection of all new Tech House and Breaks featuring regular guests.......

VIPs only Wez, thats if i open it like, or anyone i think deserves to be a vip which is many of you lot plus all my mates etc....vip room is really trendy with its own bar etc too,
Dont forget its electro, minimal techno and breaks in room 2 and electronic funky house in room 3 (long bar room) which is KissDaFunk style tunes... Quality selection of music been played throughout the club.
Think you will enjoy anyhow wez, and as usual the end room (room 1) is the usual Revival of House..
See me on the night and if the vip is open ill sort u a pass..:cool:

Yeah Fox gave me his disc some time ago with all his trax on, very different, you would never think it was him....u heard the gallery song he did hehe:D

Yeah its a mad tune, its on his demo disc, tell him you want the disc he gave me......thats prob the one he will give u anyhow:cool:

thats a pretty good idea tbh, attracting some different types of crowd too, probably some of the funky housey younger people, who might not find oldskool ever unless theres a OS room at the same nite.

then you can get em all in the end room and play em some proper musikphones:

yeah its funny you say that as on a normal mission night on a saturday they have some crappy classics in middle room and that ends up the busiest room...thing is wi leeds the younger ones like to think they are trendy and into the latest thing, but when you get them in the club they love the old stuff...

I also want to progress Joy on and only way is to be involved in the new scene aswell(which i really like - techno and pumping electronic house)
Oldskool is a very small market really nowdays.. i think your right in what you have said. this will help educate folk...phones:

Right then folks, their is a joint afterparty going off for this event with our good pals from another of Leeds great events, Dirty Disco, at a venue called El Salsa...see me on night for details...:crazy:
