Help ! Recording to PC from Decks

I've linked my decks up to my pc and downloaded Audio Recorder Pro so I can record to MP3s. Managed to get it all working for a while but now i'm having probs. It seems to record fine but when i've done and click on the file to open in media player and the total time is only about 3 - 5 mins which really f*cked me off today when I had recorded over an hour ! Also when i'm downloading mixes it does the same, seems to download ok but when I come to open them they are only a few mins long ????? Any ideas ????

Try downloading winamp and installing that mate, windows media is really shit.

think its www.winamp.com but i just tried to check and im barred from the site at work

i'd of thought there must be a setting somewhere for how long you want to record..

edit - just had a quick look on their website, there's auto start and stop, which will stop recording after a certain time or if the file reaches a certain size - make sure that's turned off

Try using Soundforge - Excellent sound application.

You can simply record until you press stop (depending on hard disk space), or you can set up to record a required time.

If you can't get Soundforge from anywhere...as it;s licensed software...

You can d/l freeware app called Goldwave.....I prefer it to Soundforge.....really easy to use.....

just search for it on google...
