well what an AMAZING night :thumbsup: , was really looking forward to this for ages and wasnt dissapointed , TOTAL LOCK OUT , :cool:

a real proper old skool nite in Liverpool with a great venue , cool bouncers ,no kids , no nobs , just a safe clued up mature up for it crowd enjoying proper OLD SKOOL sounds , :D

made a nice change for me as i dont really get to enjoy the events ive put on with all the hassell of running them ect ,so this was the 1st time since Hazy that ive been to an old skool event in Liverpool and just smiled all night long as a punter and relaxed and enjoyed myself...

all the djs were class everything from disco / northern soul , cool 80s pop and some nice early house monsters...danced all nite long

but the star was GREG WILSON , well what can i say :eek: mixing live with REEL-REEL tapes (now that is OLD SKOOL), just a pleasure to see , was blown away watching him !!! , just played quality tune after quality tune...

highlights for me were earth people - dance , prince - contraversy ,david bowie - fashion , voodoo ray ballroom mix , chaka khan - aint nobody remix , and some re-edit / remix of sympathy for the devil by god knows who which ive never heard before phones: phones: and so so many more i can hardly remember them all ,just know that EVERYONE Loved it....:love:

big ups to mesh n si for sorting lifts and grabbin my ticket :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

we all had a scream + met loads mates and old faces i aint seen in years just had a pure blast... :cool:

was also boss to see loads of djs out too supporting this event , vertigo , pez , desa (bassheads) , paul kane , ste parry all dancing the night away :)

all in all hats off to the promotors and ill defo be going to this from now on :thumbsup: ,i highly recommend this one folks , so try n get yer arses down ,will post deets on the next one when i get em...

it sounds great ian, i might just have to make another visit that direction, mixing reel to reel :cool: i love the style greg plays too phones:

Agree with all the above comments, a fantastic night out. :cool:

Star of the night for me was Chris Duckinfield of Swag fame who played a brilliant couple of hours taking in low-slung Disco-not-Disco, cosmic chuggers and some excellent up-front nu-disco. The place went wild when he dropped "Controversy" towards the end of his set.

Greg was excellent as expected, some brilliant re-edits in there and the obligatory fx and reel to reel to supplement some great sounds. Stevie's "Superstition" cut-up and the PTA's "Unfinished Thing" were early highlights of the set.

Nice to see some of the seasoned Liverpool faces out to support this event too, I think that gives a good idea of the reputation this night is already developing.

I hope Archive continues to go from strength to strength, it's an excellent event showcasing quality DJs. :D
