Free web space?

Where is the best place to get free (v. cheap) web space to upload mp3 mixes ~80mb?

PS - don't have broadband yet either!!

i avnt got that far yet...jus went into ntl world via google and then clicked on the free webspace icon....it gives u all the instructions and how to's there...but needless to say i need a good few hours to go thro it wi a fine tooth comb......could do wi an idiots guide to really! lol :p :thumbsup:

Its easy to acsess your NTL webspace if you know how.
I tried FTP programs but for some reason NTL would allways say the password was wrong, the only way I could get it too work was to make a new network place in XP but by far the easiest way to upload to it is to paste the info below into the address bar of internet explorer then drag your file into the window.
ftp://your username:your password@upload.ntlworld.com/

eg
ftp://jimipolo:g56666999a@upload.ntlworld.com/

Oh and once your done goto http://homepage.ntlworld.com/your user name/
and the file will be there & link from that.

Sorry did i say idiots guide.....i meant blitherin idiots guide.. :confused:

lol.....still not a clue...hehehehee.... :| but will have a look....is there anyway i can break anything by doin this...if so i wont bother.....lol... :thumbsup:

You chose a username & password when you setup your internet (I think NTL gives you the password & you choose the username), make a note of your username & password and put them into the line below where I put username/password.
ftp://username:password@upload.ntlworld.com/
Then copy it & paste it into an open internet explorer page (where it says http://www.oldskoolanthemz.com/forum in this window)
Press enter (or Go) & it will open an empty window, pick a file up from your computer that you want to put online & drop it into this empty window & it will bring a little box up saying "copying, 20 minutes remaining" after its done the file will be on http://homepage.ntlworld.com/username/ so if you put a mix up (called for eg, northmix) it would appear at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/username/northmix so if you want to put it on here for others to get that is the link you would use (not ftp://username:password@upload.ntlworld.com/northmix as that would let everyone know your password) if you still dont understand then maybe as Cam said wait till someone can show you.

Jaz thanx babe....i get most of it...but untill i have a go i wont know eh! as long as i cant break anything i will be fine i think...half the reason i dont do stuff is cus i am scared of messin stuff up and not bein able to recover from it.......i hope i wrote my user name down.......i think i did? lol.... :| :thumbsup:

Cheek my :moonie: thats wot i meant... i knew u had never dun it b4 either....i think i would still like to have a go on me own 1st tho if thats ok......i sussed out me file share on soul seek by myself this afternoon so i am ready fo another challenge now..... :thumbsup:

b sure i will shout if i get stuck tho......lol.... ;)
