my name is stefan, i've been an organizer, dj booker, publisher etc. in the german techno scene since the very beginning
however the most unforgettable times in my book were the years 1989-92
that's why i have been organizing an OLDSCHOOL RAVE every last saturday of each year.
that series is called BACK TO BASICS - IT'S NOT OVER! and i'm totally overwhelmed each time how it is possible to reactivate the spirit, the atmosphere and the ecstasy of those times long forgotten!
unfortunately since quite a while we don't have many foreign soldiers in town anymore so espcially the tresor club was missing those english ravers that were as much part of the club as the interior.
you might have heard about my second last BACK TO BASICS rave in 2004 because for this one i managed to talk my old friend CASPAR POUND into reactivating THE HYPNOTIST for this special occasion and indeed they played a fantastic live set (unfortunately his ultimate last - r.i.p.!) in best hardcore tradition (tons of analogue equipment, lots of mc'ing, caspar falling off stage, etc.) in the legendary tresor club which was then closed forever and torn down for shiny busyness bulidings...
BUT NOW for why i'm writing all this:
ON SATURDAY, 30-DECEMBER IT'S TIME AGAIN FOR BACK TO BASICS IN BERLIN!
and for this i'd like to invite all oldschool lovers from abroad to come and join us!
