Landaaaaaan town
It only bounced into my head as I was mp3'ing the Space 3001 12" that got released on XL and it was only this evening that I realised that Andropolis was all his own work. Absolute class...so good shout turpieaj (although I think I prefer part 2!)

The Ravesignals were class as well though, particularly 1-3.

rave signal 3 "horsepower" is probably my fav, gonna pull it out this weekend and have ablast.

also used to love "the prophet" as when ebay used to be a sellers market (rather than the now buyers market)

I used to get £40/50 a time for it. must have made £300 on this tune alone over 6 months (6 copies)

Aside from the ravesignal stuff - Sonic Solution (Music, Quest, Beat Time, On the Move, Turbulence, Baghdad)

The entire '4th Sign' album - absolute class

Even some of his later stuff still sounds great to me, the Starship enterprise EP and Electronic Highway album... Only thing I remember not liking by him was the album he did around '97 which sounded like he was trying to copy what the prodigy were doing at the time (the one with that awful sugar daddy tune on)

Was a pretty good dj as well, he did a radio 1 essential mix in 1994 which I taped off the radio at the time and still love today :)

I've got ''The Prophet'' myself, bought it a couple of months back at my local record shop for about £7, the bloke said it was rather sought after. The one i have is the single sided repress. Not a bad tune.

What a talent he had

Had a listen to 'it's all in the mind' from R.signal 3 the other day- it's just as good as Mindwar/Horsepower, but I think often overlooked.
I'm going to go though for his album from around 95- Electronic Highway, which almost reaches Aphex Twin- Selected Ambient Works status. An absolute corker of an album. I was bitterly disappointed when the album with 'Sugar daddy' came out.

Nice to recall that night…..I was there too and also had the pleasure to talk to CJ and Steve (Cop) in person…. I’m sure you’ll agree on how friendly and chatty they were…..completely sound and on the same level with us tune heads back in the day…..their live PA blew my mind as I experienced it stood right in front of those huge (x4) dancefloor speakers……CJs set was banging as well…..he knew how to excite the crowd which more than made up for his beat mixing skill at that time which was a thing that we were usually particularly critical of as we were no slouches on the decks
A few weeks later while CJ was still in the area I had the pleasure of listening to him again at Techno City in Sheffield on a Friday night event held in a small venue (Occasions ???) situated on a floor in a multi story car park IIRC….
