i remember taping this off radio one years ago but the old memory is a bit hazy about it now.. listening back to the recording now theres a couple of questions spring to mind --

all the other hotmixes that have been on the essential selection are 30mins long and this one is 50mins long with an edit at 25mins. :hubba:

was this a 2 part hotmix or is it 2 hotmixes from different nights edited together

i remember it being 2 different hotmixes recorded onto the same tape, possibly the second one is from a couple of weeks later.

or were they both broadcast the same night with something else in between thats been edited out phones:

anybody know all the details or have a different recording without the edit?

There were 2 different ones

One was from Friday night Essential Selection

I think the other was from some sort of Christmas or New Year special

i had the first one down as 30 Oct 93 and the second one down as Nov 93 but i cant remember for sure, need somebody with a better memory than mine or somebody that taped the second one and wrote a date down on the tape to confirm :thumbsup:

anyone know the title of the track he kicks off with on the 'april 93' mix ? it only plays briefly before 'solitaire gee' comes in ...

I recorded it at the time and wrote the dates on the tape: 30 Oct 92 and 1 Nov 92.

Thanks to voncrap16 for posting the April 93 mix. I hadn't heard that one before. Nice!!
