I have just bought one of these just under a £100 with postage a YAMAHA KX-480 what is one of the later ninety's models 96/97/98 , but the 380, 390, 393 Models sound slightly better because they have a different head preamp than the 480, 490, 580, I personally do not like the look of the 380, 390, 393 as all the buttons are stuck on the outside, the model I own has the buttons on the inside & out of all the tape players I have owned, I think this is by far the nicest looking tape player I have owned. Not the most expensive or the best sounding but defiantly the best looking one and back in the 90's I owned a new one of these, which one I don't know, but it would of been the 5 star, what hi fi award winner.

With the purchase of my new 8GB Sapphire Radeon RX 580 PULSE Graphics card and my collecting of tapes I should have plenty of stuff to keep me happy (y) ;)

I was listening to this tape this afternoon and I noticed the treble was not very good on it this tape player has a very cool feature where you can change the frequencies on it, so you have better treble on the tape what is very cool this feature is called play trim
