Hull - officially Britains worst city!
I actually missed it first time around in 91 :$ , and didnt pick up a copy until Pete tong started hammering the re-release in 96.

As a result i only have this version : Dilemma (3) - In Spirit

So, i got into the vocal version first, and still love the vocal.
But am i right to presume the vocal only got added in 96?
And do the 91 purists think the vocal is pish? :S

I used to have that 96 re-release...it has the original version with the 'i will be with you in spirit vocal' I can't listen to it now though, it just one of those tunes. I wouldn't say its rubbish as its a well produced track..just that it does nothing for me

It's always had the vocals on it. The non-vocal version at the time (slightly before Dilemma in fairness) was by DNA and it was called La Serenissima which was also the name of the original classical style piece which was originally from 1982 by Rondo Veneziano which is a band name rather than a bloke's name oddly enough.

A dancey version by Rondo Veneziano appeared on one of the Warehouse Raves LP's - one I think.

I think Random means the vocals which are on this un

YouTube - In Spirit (biff and Memphis remix) by Dilemma

I like this mix loads btw... top top beats... right up until the female vocals come in & it goes 4/4

yep

funnily enough i just played this today while having a blast on the decks
ive got it on this booty
Various - Untitled
its the version with just the 'i will be with you in spirit' vocal bit

im liking the YouTube - Rondo Veneziano La serenissima
you can see where daft punk nicked there image from!
rondo all the way for me. I did dance to the biff and memphis one but only cause the odds of a dj playing the original in london were next to none!
