Hi, I have tried to rip a tune on Audacity and am having an issue with the recording. During an instrumental part where there is no bass/beats the volume is bright and loud, as soon as the bass and beats return it's dampened and goes a touch quieter. My levels are all spot on and I'm going from the record out on my mixer through an Behringer UCA 222 USB interface and a HP laptop. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers.

I would try this forum if your having issue with your computer more geeks on their.
my hunch is its something to do with the way your sound card is set up.
have you tried google to see what answers come up, I have never not been able to resolve a issue with my computer and all I've done is used the internet.
their are plenty of computer forums about with people who will know what's going on.
that mixer should plug and play if its new what suggest to me its something set up incorrect on your computer

Now I have looked at the photos am pretty sure it the Behringer UCA 222 USB causing the issue and not your mixer have you got a manel with it see if everything is set up correctly,
